DeAndre Yedlin has joined Tottenham Hotspur from Seattle Sounders but will remain with the MLS side for the 2014/15 season.

The energetic full-back had been in England at the weekend to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical ahead of a proposed move to Spurs.

Yedlin, 21, has agreed a four-year contract with the Lilywhites but will remain in the USA for the remainder of the MLS season before moving to England ahead of the 2015/16 campaign.

A speedy, attack-minded full-back, Yedlin caught the eye for the USA – managed by Spurs favourite, Jurgen Klinsmann – during the World Cup in Brazil this summer.

Signed from the Sounders academy in 2013, Yedlin has since made 52 appearances in all competitions for the Seattle side and earlier this summer played against Spurs during their 3-3 draw in the United States.
