PERSHORE High School has continued its tradition of producing top-class public speakers after winning a debating competition for the second year in a row.
Sixth formers Ryck Williamson and Izzy Sanders returned to the school triumphant after taking top honours in the Eyres-Monsell Debating Tournament on Friday, November 10.
The duo followed up on last year's win by beating a team from Malvern College after proposing a motion of this house would abolish trial by jury'.
Judges on the day included West Worcestershire MP Sir Michael Spicer.
Head of English Graeme Finch said: "Both Ryck and Izzy did very well and the judges praised them both for the structure of their arguments and their team work and enthusiasm."
