A spokesman for Tramlink said: “Croydon's tram system is celebrating its first year of operation, Tramlink can look back on a year in which the system evolved through passenger use and comment.
“Anti-glare ticket machines are being installed and the machines are to be re-configured on a zonal structure for ease and speed.
“New signage has completely replaced the original, timetables have been adjusted and increased due to passenger demand.
“The new map which carries details of interchanges with bus stops is part of Tramlink's aim for integrated public transport.
“A year on, Tramlink has become an appreciated and accepted part of the scene along its routes, giving the heart of Croydon something of a continental air, aided by the pavement cafes that are appearing in the town.
“Among a number of proposed extensions being considered by Transport for London's Light Transit team are Crystal Palace and Sutton.”
