WAYNE Wheeler rescued a point for Westbury United, who played the final quarter of Saturday's Toolstation League First Division 1-1 draw with Ilfracombe with only ten players.
United were reduced to ten men when Nathan Hallett was shown a straight red card in the 66th minute for a stamping incident on Ilfracombe defender Mark Hughes.
But the dismissal seemed to inspire Westbury, who after going close through David Thompson and Paul Edwards equalised in the 77th minute when Luke Smith set up Wheeler to score with a low drive.
Ilfracombe had opened the scoring with their first chance after 15 minutes.
Liam Beades' corner was met by Leon Taswell's bullet header and the ball flew past home keeper Nick Evans.
