RESIDENTS are being warned after a water board official's identification pass was stolen from a van.
A thief smashed his way into the Ford Transit while it was parked in Dijon Street, Daubhill, overnight between November 23 and 24.
A high visibility jacket and an electric drill were also taken as well as the United Utilities identification pass.
Police are warning residents across Bolton to be aware of the card bearing the name Abu Bobat.
Sgt Ian Coop said: "I would always urge residents to make sure they check identification of anybody calling at their home, but people need to be particularly aware of this card."
Anybody with information is asked to contact police on 0161 856 0963.
