GOOD news! The date for the opening of the cards for Good Causes Charity Card Shop has just come to hand, with the exciting news that last year our local shop was in the top ten nationally, with a ten per cent improvement on sales from the previous year when it reached tenth position. The shop will open on November 2, in the Rovacabin in the car park behind Waitrose which isn't available till that week. Two more charities are involved this year, giving you a choice from 41 different charities, with 300 different card designs plus all the usual sundries. As in other years, opening hours will be daily but not Sundays, from 10am till 4pm and I am assured that new plans mean that stock will not run out again!

MONDAY'S meeting of the Beaconsfield Carers group at Kiln Court, will be a little different this month. Several new carers have recently joined so it will thus be a time of chatting and discussion, as will the meeting of November 19 from 7.30pm. The December meeting this year will also be different at the home of one of the organisers. If you need advice or help with transport for meeting, please call Audrey Coles on 01494 677181 or Gillian Russell on 01494 674131.

THERE will be a Whist Drive at Kiln Court, off North Drive, on Tuesday October 16, at 2pm, and all are welcome. Tea and biscuits are included in the 50p admission.
