MAYBE we'll practise some penalties this week? Looking back at the Hartlepool game and the situation there I said these things even themselves out over the season.

Thank goodness it happened early doors in a game that we've won.

Christian Roberts was the penalty taker and he still is. He's missed one, it happens, simple as that.

I'm not bothered about it and I'm also not bothered about Paul Evans missing his.

We've won the game and at the end of the day our performance in the second half warranted it.

I wanted Paul to smash it, nine times out of 10 it goes in. The keeper's made a good save, fair play to him.

We deserved to win by three or four to be honest.

It was always going to be hard, they made it tough, played five in midfield in the first half.

We needed that goal just to make them come out a little bit because I think they'd have sat there all day.

They didn't really create anything and we looked the dominant side.

  • On other teams: I think this is what it's going to be like. People are going to make it hard for us.

Barnet were another team that seemed to sit back and make us break them down. Obviously we have to be patient.

We created a lot of chances, unfortunately we didn't put them in but that's the way it goes.

At the present moment we're creating chances and that's what I'm pleased about.

They've just got to keep doing what they're doing.

  • The own goal: It was bizarre. I think Ricky Shakes put him under a bit of pressure and I think that's what caused him the problem.

It was a great ball into the area by Christian Roberts.

  • The changes: I just wanted some fresh legs and they both did extremely well.

Curtis Weston had had tonsillitis and hadn't really trained for a day or two. Pooky came in and did very well. I was pleased with him.

  • The changes: I've given the lads Sunday and Monday off but they'll work extremely hard on Tuesday.

We build up to the next game. We've done nothing yet and it's all about what you do over 46 games. It's nine points out of nine and you'd rather be at the top than the bottom.
