SINCERE thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make last weekend's fundraising events so successful. Alongside the river Hedsor Church provided a wonderful afternoon and down at Wooburn Park the 1st Bourne End Scout Group staged another exciting donkey derby. Why do riders fall off donkeys so easily must be the question to ponder?

VOLUNTEER drivers also go on holiday and the Wye Valley Volunteer Bureau ask that people needing transport should put in their request as early as possible at this time of the year. The bureau endeavours to meet every request but holidays create problems.

Anyone interested in volunteer driving, visiting, doing shopping or dog walking can call at the demountable in Wakeman Road car park from 10am to midday, Monday to Friday or call 01628 521027.
