SOUTHAMPTON's Anthony Allen will fulfil a prophesy when he makes a sensational England senior debut against New Zealand at Twickenham tomorrow.

The former Trojans youngster made the prediction when he was a child - but even he wouldn't have foreseen that his debut would be against the mighty All Blacks in front of a massive 82,000 crowd.

And all that after making just 23 senior starts for his club side Gloucester!

"I'm going to play rugby for England, dad," said Allen when his father asked him what he was going to do when he grew up.

Proud parents Tim and Fiona will be at Twickenham tomorrow to see their 20-year-old son, who plays his club rugby at centre, realise his dream.

Andy Robinson's side are bidding to avoid a sixth successive defeat tomorrow.

Should they lose, it will be England's worst run of results since 1972.

Amazingly, England have only beaten the All Blacks since times in 28 meetings.

Reflecting on her son's meteoric rise, mum Fiona said: "It has all came about so quickly really.

"It's from the confidence that he gained from rugby that helped give Anthony the work ethic for the rest of his schooling.

"But rugby has always been his life."

Tim added: "He was called into see England head coach Andy Robinson on Monday and told that not only was he in the squad but he was starting the match in his beloved no 12 shirt.

"Robinson then said if you want to go out into the car park and scream now' feel free!"
