A REVIEW has started that could lead to a huge change in how the council's housing stock in run.
Councillors are due to meet to discuss the future of Golden Gates Housing - as the contract is due to run out in February 2009.
Members will be shown a Government produced paper outlining the possible alternatives for housing.
Warrington's housing stock was transferred to an arms length management organisation in 2003 and millions of pounds have since been spent on improving the state of the homes.
Among the options being considered is for the council to take back greater control of the homes, merge with other ALMOs in neighbouring areas or transfer all its current stock.
