A grime artist from Tottenham won a MOBO last night - with a video that cost just £80 to make.

Skepta, real name Joseph Junior Adenuga, gave what is being dubbed the "best acceptance speech ever" as he collected his award for Best Video at the star-studded ceremony at Wembley Arena.

As Alexandra Burke and Jamelia announced him as the winner he excitedly ran up on stage with his crew, telling the audience: "Wow, I didn't even get a ticket to come here tonight. I had to find my way here."

His single That's Not Me, which peaked at No. 7 in the UK Dance charts and 21 on the Official Charts Singles, features the lyrics "I'm looking for a girl with the X Factor but I don't judge like Simon does".

The video, directed and made by Tim & Barry, shows Skepta rapping at a pair of decks with his brother and frequent collaborator JME, laid over a short documentary.

Accepting his award, the 32-year-old, who was up against artist including FKA Twigs, Rudimental and Scorcher, said: "I said if there's one award I want to win it's for this video That's Not Me because coming from the streets you feel like 'my man's video's 100,000, my man's video's a million'. I have to keep up with that.

"That's Not Me video cost me 80 English pounds and I want to big up all the young MCs coming up in the game - Stormzy, Novelist."

The MC was originally part of the Tottenham-based Meridian Crew, but has gone on to release two solo albums, 2007's wittily titled Greatest Hits and 2008's Microphone Champion.

That's Not Me is the first single from his fourth studio album, Konnichiwa, due for release later this year and Professor Green recently named Skepta's track It Ain't Safe as his song of the year.

Skepta will be battling it out at the Red Bull Culture Clash, as part of crew Boy Better Know, at Earl's Court on November 20. Details: eco.co.uk, cultureclash.redbull.co.uk
