Berbatov returns to pre-season training with Spurs

DIMITAR BERBATOV returns to pre-season training with Spurs today, although speculation surrounding the striker's future refuses to go away.

The Bulgarian will join up with his team-mates in Chigwell a little under two months after claiming that he had played his last game for the Lilywhites.

It will be more than a little humiliating for the forward after a close-season full of rumours has linked him with a potential move to a number of European giants, including Barcelona, AC Milan and Manchester United.

And Berbatov has done little to deflect the attention, with reports suggesting he was eager to leave White Hart Lane in pursuit of Champions League football.

However, according to the Daily Mail, Spurs have yet to receive any offers for the 27-year-old forward, after putting a price tag of £25million on his head.
