Pupils enjoy signing choir workshop
11:50am Sunday 28th October 2012 in News By Bruce Thain
Pupils were treated to a special workshop from a signing choir which recently performed the Olympic opening ceremony.
The Kaos Signing Choir took part in a singing and signing workshop at Stroud Green Primary, in Woodstock Road, Finsbury Park, and this week.
The choir, based in Muswell Hill, famously performed at the opening ceremony of the London Olympic Games earlier this year where they were watched by more than a billon people around the world.
Suzy Davis and Ali Wood from the choir spent a day teaching children from every year group, a whole host of songs.
Children learnt British Sign Language signs and then sang and signed the songs to parents at a performance at the end of the day.
Year 6 pupil Tia said: "It was really fun and a good way to learn and I would thoroughly recommend Kaos to other schools."
Mollie Weston, music coordinator at the school said: “This is the second time they have been to Stroud Green and we always have a fantastic time".
