Police advice to community about safety during Halloween and bonfire night

Increased patrols and a more visible presence are part of an operation launched by police to tackle crime during Halloween and firework night.

Operation Hallfire has been launched by police in Haringey in preparation of an expected increase in crime and anti-social behaviour during the coming weeks.

Officers have been increased their action in the area by visiting roads in high crime areas, carrying out operations against rogue and unlicensed firework sellers and joint patrols with noise enforcement officers.

Police say communities will see a grater police presence around the borough to deter anyone planning to cause anti-social behaviour during the season.

People can also get No Trick or Treat posters which can be printed off to discourage trick or treaters from visiting their homes.
