Families from across the borough enjoyed a community festival celebrating Black History Month.

The free Black History Month Festival took place at the Wood Green Library, in High Road on Saturday.

Activities at the day included music, talks, face painting dance performances and the chance to sample food from Africa and the Caribbean.

People young and old also took part in an African drumming workshop where they learnt about African culture and how to play traditional songs.

Since the start of October there have been a number of different activities and events in Haringey celebrating the contribution Black men and women have made to society.
