A man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving following the death of a cyclist in Tottenham in March.

Jonathan Baird, 63, of Margaret Avenue in Waltham Forest is accused of hitting 41-year-old Frank Mugisha in White Hart Lane in Tottenham on March 27.

He is due to appear at Haringey Magistrates Court on Tuesday, November 20.

The father-of-four, from Hoe Lane in Edmonton, died from multiple injuries in the Royal London Hospital six days after he was struck.

Friends remembered Mr Mugisha, who was originally from Uganda, as a “popular” and “unique” man who was a good father, husband and friend.

Hoe Lane is in Enfield, not Edmonton.
