Housing association apologises for hot water problem
A housing association which operates a block of flats left without hot water has apologised.
The statement comes after people living in St Paul’s House, in Park Lane Tottenham, complained there hot water had not been working since the end of September.
Metropolitan Housing, which operates the building, said it would send in workman in to fix the problem.
However at the time they were not able to fix the problem and the block of 39 flats is still without hot water.
A spokeswoman for Metropolitan said: “We apologise that the hot water at St Pauls is still not working properly due to major limescale build up with the communal system.
“Our specialist contractor attempted to carry out a chemical upscaling of the hot water cylinder last week, however, the extent of the limescale meant the system could not be fully drained and therefore the work could not be carried out.”
They added the contractor is now having to wait for specialist parts and they hope to get the hot water system fully working as soon as possible.
