Writers, directors and producers invited to film partnership's launch event

Young film-makers are being invited to an open evening to find out how to get their hands on up to £3,000 of funding for their project.

The North London Film Partnership (NLFP) supports young film-makers in the boroughs of Haringey and Islington.

The partnership is looking for writers, directors and producers, above the age of 18 with film projects in the pipeline looking for support.

Those interested in making a film and applying for funding are invited to the partnership’s launch event this evening at Platform, Hornsey Road Baths, in Hornsey Road from 6:30pm to 9pm.

After the launch event 12 production teams will be chosen for training, after which a final three teams will be picked to get a package of support from the NLFP, including up to £3,000 towards the making of their film.

The NLFP is funded by Haingey Borough Council and Islington Borough Council, and aims to create a network hub for film-makers and increase participation of film production in North London.
