Free support for older people in Haringey on offer during cold snap

Older people affected by the cold weather are able to get support and advice about keeping warm as part of a new campaign.

Age UK Haringey and Haringey Borough Council will be working together as part of the Warm and Well campaign to visit an extra 200 older people in the borough thanks to a government grant of £153,900.

Staff and volunteers will also be visiting more than 400 people over the age of 60, giving free advice about how to keep their homes energy efficient and keep the heat in during the cold months.

Anyone who knows someone who would benefit from the campaign can contact the council on 020 8489 1400.
