American national Rachel More, 47, was last seen at the Whittington Hospital just before 6pm yesterday evening where she was being treated after contracting meningitis.
Haringey police say the condition could prove fatal if the correct treatment is not received and are calling for help from the public to trace her.
She is described as a white woman, 5ft 7ins tall, with long brown hair and she was last seen wearing a black jacket, black trousers carrying a purple handbag.
Anyone who has seen Ms More or knows where she is are urged to get it contact with police.
