Spurs striker Jermain Defoe took part in a class discussion on anti-racism at a Haringey school this week.
Year 11 pupils from Northumberland Park School, in Trulock Road, Tottenham talked with the England international earlier this week as part of a project on racism in football.
Members of the national Kick It Out’ campaign and coaches from the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation and Defoe answered questions from pupils on the issue.
The forward said: “It’s important for us to educate our young people about the issue of racism and continue to work with organizations like Kick It Out to help stamp it out of the game and society as a whole.
“It was a good discussion and there were some very intelligent questions from the young people. Hopefully this helped them with their project and they will take a lot away from the day.”
The school is one of several in the borough which works with the Spurs Foundation as part of the Kickz project leading sports projects between pupils and police.
