More snow to come and sub zero temperatures on the way
The cold snap is set to continue for Haringey with more snow on the way and sub zero temperatures.
The Met Office predicts there will be flurries of snow across the borough from 6pm this evening with temperatures set to fall to minus three during the early hours of tomorrow morning.
For the week ahead it’s predicted the cold snap will last into the weekend with possibly more snow on the way for Friday.
After the heavy snow during the weekend schools across Haringey have been closed today due to icy pavements.
Haringey Borough Council’s gritters have been out regritting pavements and roads in priority areas and teams have making regular checks for ice in town centres.
The cold weather has caused disruption to waste collection with a number of Friday pickups missed and the council warning there may be further disruption through the week depending on conditions.
