Haringey police will be getting a new borough commander following the announcement Detective Chief Superintendent Sandra Looby will be stepping down.
The change will take place in March this year, when borough commander Sandra Looby will become commander of the Operational Command Unit at the Palace of Westminster.
Chief Supt Looby paid tribute to Haringey people's support during her time in the post. She said: "The last two years have been most challenging, and although there is still a lot of work to be done, we are seeing the benefits of our hard work.
She added: “These achievements could not have happened without your support.
Her replacement will be Chief Superintendent Victor Olisa, who will be moving from his role as borough commander in Bexley. Chief Supt Looby pledged to support him and ensure he met key people in the community.
She added: "Chief Supt Olisa brings a wealth of experience and I trust that you will welcome him to the borough and continue to be involved in making Haringey the great place to live, work and visit that it is."
