Businesses learn about green opportunities in Haringey

Businesses learnt how they could benefit from going green as part networking event.

More than 120 businesses attended the breakfast hosted by Haringey Borough Council at Alexandra Palace, last week, which highlighted the opportunities for business in the borough to invest in the green economy.

In one method, builders could install energy-saving devices in buildings showing users how they could save money on their energy bills.

The council hopes to help create a directory of small and medium-sized businesses which can carry out green building work such as installing cavity wall insulation, solar panels, draught proofing, roof insulation and energy saving boilers.
