Collision closes Ashley Road in Tottenham in both directions

A collision after a robbery in Tottenham led to a road being closed both directions.

Just before the crash in Ashley Road two suspects on a moped had stolen a cash box being delivered to a fast food restaurant in Monument Way, Tottenham.

On making their escape the suspects crashed into a car in Ashley Road in Tottenham.

Police say one of the riders broke his leg in the collision and was subsequently arrested and officers also recovered the cash box taken in the robbery.

Ashley Road is closed in both directions at the A1055 Watermead Way junction as police recover the vehicle involved.
