Netball coaching in Haringey gets cash boost from Sport England

Netball in the borough has been given a cash boost with more than £2,000 secured to help train more coaches.

The £2,500 has been secured from Sport England by Haringey Borough Council to train new coaches following an increase in people signing up to play the sport.

The number of teams from Haringey now playing in the North London Netball League is growing, with teams playing including the Troy Netball Club and the Asco Netball Club.

Since September, 37 women and girls above the age of 16 have joined the newest club in the borough at Highgate Wood School in Montenotte Road, Crouch End.
