College students were given an inspirational seminar from a former Spurs captain and an MP.
The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London welcomed Tottenham MP David Lammy and former Spurs defender Ledley King for a seminar on leadership.
The two guests talked to students on Tuesday February 5 about the obstacles they had to overcome in their careers to get where they are today.
Accounting student Haroon Ali, 18, said: “The great thing about today was that I was able to meet two heroic individuals and more importantly I can draw upon what they said, which is to lead by example in school, ensure I stay focused at college and give my utmost at work.”
All the students who took part it in the seminar were from the college’s accounting academy.
Principal of the college Paul Head said: “This has been a fascinating project and one that has made us think about how we deliver training in the future.
“I’m delighted with the students and want to thank you all for being fantastic ambassadors for the college.”
The talk was organised by the Leadership in Sport scheme and the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, which aims to reach out to young people to help them become leaders in their community.
