Three legged cat will be ready for rehoming on Valentine’s Day says Wood Green animal charity

Staff at an animal charity are hoping a romantic new name will bring an unlucky kitten a brighter future.

Wood Green animal shelter, in Lordship Lane, Wood Green, is trying to find a home for a five month old kitten which was found in Enfield with a broken leg.

Vets operated on the kitten, which they have named Valentine, removing his leg and say he will be available for rehoming on Valentine’s Day.

Centre manager Katie Wickins said: “We suspect from the injuries that he sustained that Valentine was hit by a car.

“He was in considerable pain and discomfort but despite that remains a very sweet young man. He loves a kiss and a cuddle – he is a true Romeo and will make a lovely pet to a new family.”

Those interested in giving Valentine a home can call 0844 248 8181.
