Crouch End model Claudette DeJoir into final of national beauty pageant

A modelling hopeful will representing London in a national beauty pageant and could go on to represent the country.

Claudette DeJoir, of Lambton Court Road, Crouch End, booked her place onto the final of Miss Galaxy England 2013 at the Park Hotel, in Lancashire, at the beginning of next month.

If successful in the national competition she could go on to represent the UK at the Miss Galaxy International Pageant in the USA.

The 25-year-old said: “I’m really excited to be part of the contest and I’m really proud to be representing Haringey and the whole of London.

“I’ve been in a few pageants before so I’m feeling pretty confident about it. It would be an honour to represent the UK in the final in America.”

The law graduate hopes to one day move into the world of television presenting but for the time being has her eyes set on making the international final of Miss Galaxy in Florida.

She said: “I really think I can do it. I’ve been doing my research and it would be amazing if I won.”
