Deadline looms for Retail Factor applications at the Mall Wood Green

Budding entrepreneurs wanting the chance to run their own shop have less than a week to make their pitch.

The application deadline for this year’s Retail Factor competition, run by The Mall Wood Green, is Sunday February 24.

The winning shopkeeper will be given free space in the High Road shopping centre to run a business for two weeks.

The competition, run in partnership with the Haringey Independent, is open to all start-up businesses in the borough.

Last year’s winner, Chrysoula Charitou of Wood Green, said: “The Retail Factor was an amazing opportunity for my business.

“It gave me the opportunity to trade in a busy environment with no extra cost as well as expose people to my product ideas. I would recommend it to any business.”

The winners of the Wood Green competition will be entered into national contest and will be in with a chance to win £500 towards their business, as well as a place on the Oxford Summer School Academy Course.
