Plans to close Muswell Hill Police Station will be discussed during a police consultation tonight.

Slashing the opening hours of Tottenham and Hornsey stations will also be on the agenda during the 8pm meeting at Haringey Civic Centre in High Road.

The Mayor of London Boris Johnson aims to put “bobbies before buildings” in his draft police and crime plan, which was published earlier this month.

Under current plan, Tottenham and Hornsey police stations would have their opening hours downgraded from 24 hours a day to daytime opening.

The police station in High Road in Wood Green would be the borough’s only station to remain open 24 hours a day.
