Controversial plans to scrap hospital beds at Whittington Hospital will be discussed during a meeting tonight.

Hornsey and Wood Green MP Lynne Featherstone is calling on people to attend the 6pm meeting at Grieg City Academy assembly hall in Hillfield Avenue in Hornsey.

The public can ask Whittington board members questions about the proposals, which include the sale of staff accomodation and other buildings and reduction in beds at the Archway hospital.

She said: “More than 2,500 people have signed the Liberal Democrat petition calling for no loss of hospital services until equal or better are in place, and calling for the board to engage with the public.

“I hope to see as many residents as possible at the meeting, raising their concerns and getting their voices heard.”
