Consultation launched as drivers unable to park 'anywhere near' homes near Alexandra Palace station

Motorists have less than three weeks to have their say on proposals to enforce parking restrictions near Alexandra Palace station.

Haringey Borough Council will run a consultation until Friday, March 8, to decide whether to introduce a Controlled Parking Zone in roads west of the station.

Councillor Nilgun Canver, cabinet for the environment, said the zone is being considered after people complained they often cannot park “anywhere near” their homes due to train passengers using valuable space.

She said: "After many discussions with residents, we have refined the proposals as outlined in the consultation sent to residents.

“I hope everyone will get the chance to carefully consider these and get their responses back to help ensure they guide us to introducing a scheme that works for them."

A session about the proposals will take place between 11am and 3pm today at Alexandra Park Library in Alexandra Park Road in Wood Green.
