International Woman’s day events hosted by Haringey Borough Council on today

People are being invited to celebrate International Woman’s day with events taking place throughout today.

Haringey Borough Council will be hosting a programme of events to mark the international day of action at the College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London, in High Road, Tottenham from 11am.

During the day there will be a number of workshops including information from mental health groups and local women's groups with information about what is going on in the borough.

Later in the day will be a presentation for the Unsung Women Awards Ceremony which will be presented to women from around the borough for their work in the community.

From 4.45pm there will be a screening of film Amina, shot on location in Haringey looking at the life of a young women living in London.
