Fourth man arrested in connection with Tottenham stabbing

A fourth man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a man in south Tottenham.

Police raided a home in Tottenham during the early hours of this morning and arrested a man in his 20s on suspicion of murder.

Three other men were arrested after a man, named by police as Ibrahim Ali, 20, was stabbed to death in Stamford Close near Broad Lane, Tottenham, yesterday (Sunday).

He was pronounced dead after arriving at hospital. Next of kin have been informed.

Police were called to the scene just before 5am on Sunday to reports of a fight.

Two men, one 21 and the other 20, were taken to hospital with minor injuries and were later discharged.

Both were then arrested in connection with the incident. One is still in custody and the other has been bailed pending further enquires.

A third man, 21, was also arrested at the scene for being suspicion of being drunk and disorderly, but was later released.

A spokesman for the police said: “An open mind is being kept as regards a motive and enquiries into the circumstances of the murder are ongoing.”

A murder investigation has been launched and detectives from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command are investigating.
