Charity banquet on this week in Wood Green

A charity banquet to show the unequal distribution of food around the world will be taking place this week.

The Hunger Banquet, organised by Oxfam in Wood Green, will be held this Friday with talks from Hornsey and Wood Green MP Lynne Featherstone, Martin Stone of the Muswell Hill Soup Kitchen and Mayor of Haringey David Browne.

Guests will draw tickets allocating a meal from three income groups, poor, middle-class and rich to visually show the unequal distribution of food around the world.

The banquet will take place on Friday March 15 from 5.30pm to 7.30pm at Michael's Primary School in Wood Green, Bounds Green Road.
