Housing campaigners to hold public event for people living in Haringey this week
People will be able to get advice about housing at a day of action calling for decent homes for all.
The public event organised by members of Haringey Housing Action will offer people advice on housing issues to help them secure their homes.
There will be a number of information stalls with information about tenants rights, changes to housing benefit and legal advice.
Organiser Matt Salusbury said: “The housing rights of tens of thousands of Haringey residents are being undermined by unacceptable Government-driven changes - benefit cuts, the bedroom tax, soaring private rents, lack of Council housing and so on.
“We call on everyone to demand decent, secure, affordable, local homes for all."
The event will take place from 2pm to 4.30pm on Saturday March 16 at Wood Green Library, in High Road, and is open to all tenants, mortgage-payers and homeless people in the borough.
