The mother of murder victim Ibrahim Ali has called for witnesses to come forward as detectives launch an appeal over her son's death.
The 20-year-old was stabbed to death after a party in Stamford Close, Tottenham, on Sunday morning.
In a statement, his mother Hindi Yusuf Awmuse said: “Ibrahim Ali was a very shy and humble boy. It has been very hard on me and my family to deal with this loss - because he was unjustly killed we cannot rest or have any peace of mind until his killers are caught.
“My son was doing very well in school and he had high hopes of finding a good job and always wished to help me out in any way he could."
The distraught woman, who moved to the UK with Ibrahim and his sister fadumo in 2002, described the "horrific" moment when she saw the son she raised and saw running around playing lying lifeless before her eyes.
She said: “Just like any other mother I wished to see him get married and have children and have a chance to live life to the fullest."
She appealed for anybody who had witnessed the crime to come forward, adding: "My son may be gone now but the killer is still out there somewhere and we don't want him to hurt anybody else."
Police were called to the road off Broad Lane just before 5am to reports of a fight.
Offices and ambulance crews attended the scene and found five men with injuries, but Mr Ali was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at hospital.
Five men in total have been arrested in connection with the murder and all have been bailed pending further enquiries.
Detectives from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command are investigating the incident and are calling on anyone with any information to get in contact.
