People across the borough did their bit to help raise money for Red Nose Day.

Staff at the Scarecrow Boutique, in Park Road, Crouch End, donned fancy dress costumes for a Mad Hatters Tea Party.

There were tea and cakes for visitors and a raffle with prizes donated by nearby shops and business to help raise money on Friday.

All money raised went to the BBC’s Comic Relief appeal which celebrated its 25th year and has raised more than £800million for causes in the UK and abroad.

Also during the whole of last week Muswell Hill Library held a book sale using its old stock.

Hundreds of people went to the children library in Queens Avenue to buy books and help raise money for the charity appeal.
