Work starts on new pocket park from Mayor of London

Work to turn a disused urban space into a new park is now under way.

The new pocket park will be in Stanley Road, Harringay, and has been paid for with £60,000 from the Mayor of London.

The park will be one of 100 created around the capital on undeveloped land.

It is hoped the Harringay park will be used as an educational resource by nearby schools for lessons on the environment.

All the parks will be created with the help of volunteers are expected to be completed by March 2015.
