Veterinary clinic appeals for homes for kittens
Staff at a vets clinic are calling on people to help find a home for four kittens after a cat abandoned on the doorstep of a veterinary clinic gave birth.
The pregnant tortoiseshell cat was dumped on the step of the Goddard Veterinary Group in Bruce Grove, Tottenham, last month.
The cat, called Daisy by staff, was taken in temporarily by nurse Daniela Mauro and after weeks of waiting gave birth to four kittens who are now in need of a new home.
Branch vet Michael Mol said: “It must have been a distressing experience for this poor cat to have been abandoned.
“Daniela has done a wonderful job in providing her with safe, warm environment in which to give birth and care for her litter. They’re all very healthy, great fun and doing very well.
“We know times are hard but urge people having problems caring for their pets to contact local rescue charities rather than simply abandoning them. Vets and charities will always help – we will never allow animals to suffer.”
Those interested in giving a home to Daisy or the kittens can contact the clinic on 020 8808 4728.
