Church of England schools in Haringey mark formation of new trust
The Bishop of London joined children, staff and parents from five Haringey schools in celebrating the creation of a new unified trust.
The London Diocesan Board for Schools (LDBS) Academies Trust has created a Haringey branch to maintain, manage and develop the work of Church of England academies in the borough.
The founding schools are St Michael’s Wood Green, St Ann’s Tottenham, St Paul and All Hallows Infants and Juniors and Holy Trinity Tottenham.
Members of the schools gathered at St Michael’s Church in Wood Green on Thursday, May 9, to for a service to mark the forming of the trust, which founders hope will act as a support network for staff and pupils.
Liz Wolverson, CEO of the LDBS Academies Trust said: "The LDBS Academies Trust will support schools in working together in order to achieve excellence, while maintaining their vital position in the local community. This service was a fitting marker of the beginning of their journey."
