A café in Crouch End is holding a music night to raise money for a charity that supports people with a lifelong illness.

The Haberdashery, in Middle Lane, will host the ‘Three Songs’ night for the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society on Friday June 21.

It has been hosting the night for the past two and a half years and raised more than £5,000 for various charities.

Massimo Bergamin, one of the cafe’s owners, has a strong connection to multiple sclerosis.

He said: “When I lived in Italy I spent a year doing voluntary service for the Italian MS Society.

“At the time, a good friend had just been diagnosed with MS, he was only 22 or 23, and that’s why I chose the charity.

“I did house visits, took people out on trips and organised volunteers. I really enjoyed the year and carried on working for the MS Society part-time afterwards.”

Seven local artists have already signed up to perform during the evening, including The Apostles, Tommy Molotov and Ania Hardy.

The doors open at 7.30pm with music starting at 8pm.
