Most Spurs fans only dream of rubbing shoulders with the club’s manager – but two lucky people could get the chance to have a meal with him.

The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation is giving people the chance to win a meeting with the manager of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, Andre Villas-Boas.

The prize is part of a Sir Bobby’s Breakthrough online auction to raise money for the foundation, Breakthough Breast Cancer and cancer services within two Suffolk Hospitals.

The person who places the winning bid on the prize will get attend a session at Spurs’ new training centre followed by a lunch with AVB and the presentation of a signed team shirt.

Mr Villa-Boas offered to take part in the auction ahead of Sir Bobby Robson National Football Day on August 10.

It is organised by the FA to honour one of football’s most iconic figures and celebrate the nation’s favourite game.

The Tottenham manager said: “Sir Bobby is a true legend of the game, a great man, a great manager and a real gentleman.

“I often think of him and the inspiration he gave me not only at Porto but throughout his life.

“The fact that so many fellow managers and people around the world are supporting this campaign speaks more about his legacy than I ever could.

Mr Villa-Boas encouraged people to getting involved with the auction and fight cancer.

He said: “That Bobby is fighting against cancer even now shows that even though he was taken from us his spirit will never die.

“I am proud to support the Sir Bobby’s Breakthrough Campaign supporting Sir Bobby’s charity and hope fans across the country and throughout the world will do the same.”
