St Thomas More Catholic School celebrates best A-level results ever
Students have been praised for their hard work after receiving their school’s best ever A-level results.
St Thomas More Catholic School, in Glendale Avenue, Wood Green, recovered a pass rate of 100 per cent in its A level results yesterday.
Chairman of governors and Haringey borough councillor Pat Egan, said: “Although I am delighted for our high-flying students, I am particularly proud of those students who have exceeded their target grades in the face of adversity.
“It is a testimony to our comprehensive admissions policy that our value added score takes us into the Ofsted's 'outstanding' category.
“At the same time we must be one of the top, if not the top, performing school in Haringey this year.”
Executive headteacher Martin Tissot said: “Never before have we seen so many students progressing to higher education, with many winning places at highly competitive universities.
“These include Brandon Ambersley and Miss Chan Xue who are going on to Nottingham and Southampton Universities respectively.”
