Councillor Sheila Peacock, Mayor of Haringey, to relaunch Noel Park Market
The Mayor of Haringey will relaunch a market which celebrates the area’s diverse community.
Councillor Sheila Peacock will be cutting the ribbon to open the Noel Park Market at 10.30am on Sunday, September 1.
The market, which offers locally sourced food such as honey and baked goods, eggs and organic meats, crafts and street foods, has returned after its summer hiatus.
Rachella Sinclair, one of the organisers, said the food reflected the area's diversity.
She said: “We live in one of the most richly diverse areas of the UK and our market reflects it.
“In addition to locally grown food, we’ve got vendors selling Portuguese baked goods and street food, Algerian and Pakistani street food, Malaysian noodles, English pancakes and American-inspired home cooking.”
The market is open 9.30am to 1:30pm every Sunday at Noel Park School, in Gladstone Avenue.
