North London schools sign up for huge football tournament Playstation Schools' Cup
Schools across north London have signed up to a huge football tournament that attracted more than 2,000 entries nationwide.
The competition, organised through a partnership with the English Schools’ FA (ESFA) and Playstation, involves knock-out rounds between September and March before the grand finals in May next year.
A total of 18 schools across north London have signed up.
ESFA chief executive John Read said: “This is exciting news for both the ESFA and thousands of schools throughout the country.
“This partnership means we have all the ingredients in place to make a real difference at a grassroots level, delivering a professional structure for children to enjoy playing football.”

North London schools participating are: Wren Academy, King Alfred School, East Barnet School, The Totteridge Academy, St Ignatius College, Enfield Grammar School, St John’s Senior School, Chace Community College, Alexandra Park School, St Mary Magdalene Academy, Park View, Stoke Newington School, Highbury Grove School, Highbury Fields School, Greig City Academy, St Thomas More Catholic School Sports College, Heartlands High School and Woodbridge High School.
