Tottenham Hotspur Foundation host Godwin Lawson Memorial Tournament at White Hart Lane Community Sports Centre
The Tottenham Hotspur Foundation hosted a football tournament in memory of a Tottenham teenager who was stabbed to death in three years ago.
The Godwin Lawson Memorial Tournament was held at White Hart Lane Community Sports Centre, in White Hart Lane, this afternoon.
Mr Lawson was 17 years old when he was killed in March 2010 by member of a rival gang.
The tournament is aimed at raising awareness of the consequences of gang involvement and gun and knife crime amongst young people.
Spurs player Etienne Capoue, who was recently signed from Toulouse, handed out medals and trophies at the end of the tournament.
The club’s ambassador Ledley King, who works to inspire achievement and positive lifestyles amongst young people in the community, was also there.
