Work to revamp Alexandra Palace train station will begin this weekend.
The new station will include new ceiling and lightings, a two-tier cycle rack, a larger retail area, double glazing, new flooring and the ticket hall will be painted.
As a result, the ticket hall will be closed from September 7 to September 15 but extra staff will be on duty to help passengers use the automated machines.
The work, funded by the national Station Improvement Scheme, is due to last for eight weeks and will be carried out during off-peak times.
