Cancer tips before Tottenham Hotspur match at White Hart Lane
Football fans will be given tips on on on how to spot the signs of cancer ahead of the Spurs vs Chelsea match.
People will be able to have free health checks at the Spurs Square, White Hart Lane, from 10.30am to 12.45pm tomorrow.
The event is part of the NHS’s Get to know Cancer campaign, backed by the Tottenham players.
Volunteers from the London-wide campaign will also be at the stadium’s concourses prior to kick off, with information about how to detect cancer symptoms early.
This follows a talk from Tottenham Hotspur Foundation health trainers Younes Kaboul and Steffen Freund about bowel cancer awareness.
Mr Kaboul said: “It’s a great idea for the club to be involved in this campaign. It’s relevant for anyone to know about eating the right foods and keeping fit. As players, it’s what we must do every day to stay at the top of our game.”
